Flax seeds also contain a high amount of lignans, which are cyclical molecules which have an anti-viral and anti-bacteria function. Various studies have revealed the flax seed oil may reduce pain, inflammation and swelling during arthritic stages. Among its effects we can consider a reduction of cholesterol and triglyceride levels in blood. Due to the high content of Omega 3, it must never be used for cooking or frying and always as cold dressing. Ideal for the dressing of fish dishes.
